Beyond Airport Precinct

The Brighton Hotel Sydney – MGallery Collection

About 10 minutes' drive to the airport, per the hotel (Booking.com listings say 5 to 6 minutes)

A beachside MGallery hotel on Botany Bay at Brighton-Le-Sands, about 10 minutes from the airport. A holiday-style stay with pools and a beach club, but no shuttle and a busy wedding calendar.

Suits: Leisure travellers with a free day before or after a flight, and families who want calm bay water. It is a holiday stay that happens to be close to the airport, not a hotel built around the terminals.

Why choose it: The hotel's website lists an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a gym, a beach club with beach beds and cabanas, several restaurants and bars, and 24-hour in-room dining. Wi-Fi and pool and gym access are included in the room rate. Most rooms have a private balcony and many look over Botany Bay. The Family Suite is the exception and has no balcony. The beach in front is part of Lady Robinsons Beach, which has a netted swimming enclosure. Check Bayside Council for current patrols and any closures before you swim.

The compromise: There is no airport shuttle. The hotel's website points guests to taxis, rideshares and public buses, so budget for a taxi or Uber each way. Check-in is 3pm, which suits a late-afternoon arrival better than an early flight.

Weddings: The hotel runs weddings as a major part of its business, with two ballrooms, a function room and a beach club venue. Friday and Saturday nights, especially in summer, are the most likely to be busy. Sunday to Thursday is the safer choice for a quiet stay. For a weekend, ask the hotel whether a wedding is on that night and ask for a room away from the function areas.

Rates: Checked in October 2026 for Sunday to Thursday nights, standard and superior rooms were roughly $215 to $290 a night, bay-view rooms roughly $310 to $420, and suites from about $500. Monday and Tuesday are usually the cheapest. From November to February, standard rooms trend towards $280 to $350 or more. The hotel uses dynamic pricing, so check your own dates on Booking.com.

Practical details: Check-in 3pm, check-out 11am. Self-parking is $45 a night, pre-booked, with in-and-out access. There are no EV chargers. Pets are not allowed, except accredited assistance dogs. Breakfast costs extra unless it comes in a package.

Not confirmed: Soundproofing and aircraft noise. Read recent guest reviews for the room type you want.

Details come from the hotel's own website and Booking.com listings, checked in October 2026. Prices, parking and policies change, so check them with the hotel before you book. For more, see our guide to beachside stays near Sydney Airport in summer.
