Sydney Airport travel planner

Drive, Park or Stay?

The cheapest way to the airport isn't always the smartest. Compare the real cost and the hassle of getting to and from Sydney Airport: driving and parking, a taxi, a private transfer, the train, or a night at an airport hotel.

Two journeys, two scores

Your Travel Hassle Score rates the trip out and the trip home separately, from 1 (easy) to 10 (hard). It looks at journey time, how early or late you're travelling, lost sleep, transfers, luggage and how much could go wrong.

Price never changes the score

Hassle is worked out before cost is considered. Hotels get no bonus, and commission never affects the estimates, the scores or the ranking.

Honest about what's estimated

Every figure is labelled as a modelled estimate or your own quote. Where we can't be sure of a price, such as long hotel parking packages, we say "check rates" rather than guess.
